Melanie Dresser has been the Executive Director for Camp CaPella since 2021. A big focus for this camp is to make sure they can provide the best experience at little or no cost. It is the mission of camp to provide the disabled population a place that is their own. In her time at Camp CaPella she has focused on facility upgrades that include main lodge remodel, new commercial kitchen, new sewer, septic and leach field, new walkways, water filtration system, and new bath house with nurses station. Because Camp CaPella is donation only, Melanie utilizes her skills in grant writer and fundraiser. Melanie background is diverse. She has a Bachelors in Business Administration and Development from the Univ. of Maine. She has extensive experience running construction companies for 20 years, along with her own consulting business. She has also worked with the NFIB on legislation for three years prior to working for Camp. She handled the State of Maine from Waterville to Fort Kent by getting our small business owners thinking about legislation. In her free time I like to hike daily with her dog Finn and work on her investment properties. She is the mother of a beautiful young lady that attends the Dedham Elementary School, soon to go to High School. She is blessed to be a part of the Camp CaPella culture.
